Aconvection-conductionmodelforanalysisofthefreeze-thawconditionsinthesurroundingrockwallofatunnelinpermafrostregionsAbstractBasedontheanalysesoffundamentalmeteorologicalandhydrologicalconditionsatthesiteofatunnelinthecoldregions,acombinedconvection-conductionmodelforairflowinthetunnelandtemperaturefieldinthesurroundinghasbeenconstructed.Usingthemodel,theairtemperaturedistributionintheXiluoqiNo.2Tunnelhasbeensimulatednumerically.Thesimulatedresultsareinagreementwiththedataobserved.Then,basedontheinsituconditionsofsirtemperature,atmosphericpressure,windforce,hydrogeologyandengineeringgeology,theair-temperaturerelationshipbetweenthetemperatureonthesurfaceofthetunnelwallandtheairtemperatureattheentryandexitofthetunnelhasbeenobtained,andthefreeze-thawconditionsattheDabanshanTunnelwhichisnowunde
