Observe 2 groups of sentences and find out the differences between them.(esp. in subjects & verbs) Step2: presentation and practice 1. The concept of Inanimate Subjects and the structure of sentences with Inanimate Subjects. 2. Why are Inanimate Subjects applied in written English? Compare 2 groups of sentences and find out “ How” the rewritten sentences in Group B optimize those in Group A? The 4 purpose of using Inanimate Subjects. 3. The 5 different types of Inanimate Subjects and the animate verbs they often use. Observe & Summarize Group work Observe 5 groups of sentences and and Summarize the characteristics of their Subjects and the animate verbs they often use. Step3: Practice and application Rewrite the sentences with Inanimate Subjects. Complete the sentences using Inanimate Subjects with the help of the Chinese meaning. 3.
